Want to Join the Dirt Devils?

Anyone with a 4-wheel drive vehicle is eligible for membership. No modifications to your vehicle are required for membership. We have many members with stock or near stock Jeeps, and a stock Jeep is a very capable vehicle.

For July 2016-June 2017, dues are $36 per year. Spouses are $12 per year when registering with member. CORVA and/or Cal4Wheel membership is recommended, but not required. CORVA supporting membership is $30 per year or $365 for a lifetime membership (http://www.corva.org/members). Cal4Wheel membership is $45 per year or $675.00 for a permanent membership (http://cal4wheel.com/ca4wdc-store/membership).

You must:

  1. be a legally licensed driver at least 18 years old,

  2. have a street-legal 4-wheel drive vehicle (Jeep, Toyota, Ford, etc.),

  3. attend two runs and two membership meetings within the first year,

  4. complete a membership form and submit it to the Secretary along with the appropriate dues,

  5. agree to abide by the laws, rules and regulations of the Dirt Devils Off-road Club,

  6. sign the assumption-of-risk waiver and consent form,

  7. be voted in by a majority of members at a regularly scheduled meeting.

Your off-road vehicle must:

  1. have a current registration,

  2. be maintained to conform to highway safety standards,

  3. be insured to the California minimum requirement,

  4. have all safety items indicated in your membership form,

  5. have a roll bar, full cage or factory installed hard top,

  6. have an emergency brake, parking brake, line-lock or other redundant braking system,

  7. have seat belts for all passengers,

  8. have batteries securely fastened with hold downs (no bungee cords),

  9. have adequate attachment points front and rear, i.e., tow hooks, receiver, etc. Tow balls are not recommended,

  10. be equipped with a tow strap or rope (recommended rated at 2 times the vehicle weight),

  11. be equipped with a first aid kit,

  12. be equipped with a jack capable of lifting the vehicle and a tool capable of removing lug nuts,

  13. be equipped with a spare tire within 3” diameter of other tires, or, for tires 37” or larger, run-flats or tools to repair/reinflate tire,

  14. be equipped with a fire extinguisher with gauge indicating good/full, appropriately stored,

  15. when so equipped, have antennas that are rigid or restrained in a manner to prevent injuries.
